That is really fantastic. It has such a curvy, fluid shape, that you'd expect it to be some futuristic energy weapon, and not a primitive projectile weapon.

And the disclaimer at the bottom is a very nice touch. Sound like you're better off letting your enemy fire it instead, and just dodging it!

The warning at the bottom killed me. As firing the gun probably would :D

"It fires 200$ custom-tooled cartridges at 5 rounds per minute. It costs four hundred dollars to fire this weapon... for twelve seconds."

The handle looks like it would be VERY difficult to hold - its shape puts the trigger in an awkward place too, and the kick from firing such a huge shell would surely be gigantic....

But screw it, steampunk. I love it!

So, I'm not sure. Is it single, or double barrel?

Well, it's decided. I will be trying to model this as a future project :P I don't suppose by chance you have a front/top view just to be sure I get the proportions right?

I'm a little confused, though. Why does it have a rocket propulsion system if it's designed to shoot a shotgun shell? isn't the point to have a spray of pellets?

Shotguns don't just fire buckshot or birdshot, they can also fire slugs.

I guess you also never stated that it was a shotgun, either.
*must have been derping that day*

I love the design, though, it looks really awesome.

I think what I like most about this gun is that it actually seems to look like a Beluga Whale when you look at it from a certain perspective, but damn that recoil's gonna bite with that grip! Reloading seems a bit slow as it is breech loaded, so I'm guessing that this is more of a ceremonial piece or hunting weapon. Certainly not a frontline assault piece, especially with that wooden furniture I see there! I like the style of the gun though! The double stage action of the shell itself is intriguing.

I can just see it fire :o , a big red flintlock flash gos off & a brightly lit red flare hits the victom. The victom crys out as the consuming flare disintegrates his body from the inside out . :skull:

i love the aesthetic of this piece. i have always been a fan of the older, more ornate firearms and their use of etched brass and steel against lovely dark wood and i think it should be used more in contemporary design. i'll be watching with interest

Thank you!

OK, Dfacto I'm sure people have said this before but have you tried making a TF2 Version assuming the Workshop-Agreement allows you to still keep ownership of your work.
